Foothills School Division is seeking a Learning Commons Facilitator for Foothills Composite High School/Alberta High School of Fine Arts School. This role is 1.0 FTE which will work 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starting individual responsible for overseeing operation of the School Library. As a member of a school based-team, this role will act as a resource to teachers and students in obtaining information and materials. The ability to establish a good working relationship with parents and community is critical. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of technology, have excellent communication skills and be highly organized. Experience in an automated environment and in the library field is preferred.

The salary range for this position will depend on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience: Learning Commons Clerk - no experience or training (Group 1)

Learning Commons Facilitator 1 - Experience and/or training with library procedures, cataloguing and filing systems ($19.63 - - $22.38 per hour - Group II of the CUPE 5040 Salary Grid).

Learning Commons Facilitator 2 - Library and Information Technology Diploma ($21.57 - $24.42 per hour - Group III of the CUPE 5040 Salary Grid).

Learning Commons Facilitator 3 - Library Science Degree ($23.74 - $26.77 per hour - Group IV of the CUPE 5040 Salary Grid).
