POSITION: Consulting Inclusion and Secondary English/Humanities Teacher

Online Blended Learning APPOINTMENT: 1.0 FTE Continuing START DATE: September 1, 2024

Qualifications Required: education degree plus an inclusive education certificate or 5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course);

recent successful secondary classroom teaching experience;

current demonstrated ability to teach online learning at the secondary level in the subject areas;

ability to lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans;

ability to select and adapt secondary curriculum, programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students both on-line and in person;

ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;

knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;

demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;

effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;

ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and

BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
