POSITION: English Language Learner (ELL) and Computer Teacher APPOINTMENT: 0.26 FTE Continuing START DATE: September 1, 2024 Qualifications Required: education degree plus English language learner specialization (3 upper-level courses including ELL methodologies) including a university course in level B assessments, theory and practice;

recent successful classroom teaching experience in adapted curriculum;

ability to carry out norm-referenced assessments level B:

ability to lead in the development, implementation and evaluation of Annual Instruction Plans in consultation with team members;

ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;

knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;

demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;

effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;

ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and

BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
