POSITION: Learner Support Teacher APPOINTMENT: 0.2 FTE Continuing START DATE: September 1, 2024
Qualifications Required: education degree plus an inclusive education certificate or 5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course);
recent successful classroom teaching experience;
ability to lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans;
ability to select and adapt curriculum, programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students;
ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;
knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;
ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
