As a member of our three-person library team, your responsibilities will include:

Cataloguing, circulation, preparation, organizing, display and maintenance of print of digital information, materials and books

Responding to student requests, and coaching students concerning research skills and resources, and identifying materials appropriate to the academic and personal interests of students

Responding to requests from faculty and other staff for digital and print materials

Promoting the effective use of the library by all students and engaging students in an enjoyable library experience

Enhancing students experience of equity and inclusion through the delivery of library services.

As the successful candidate you are a creative, flexible and innovative self-starter who functions well in a technology-based educational environment. You have a high degree of comfort interacting with children and youth. And you work to ensure that students and faculty are effective users of information, and to empower students to be critical thinkers, skilled researchers, ethical users of information, and enthusiastic readers. You are widely read in a variety of literary genres and exhibit a depth and breadth of subject knowledge. Your professionalism includes a proven track record of working collaboratively with students and colleagues, and an interest in staying on top of emerging trends in libraries and technology.A Library and Information Technology diploma or related certification and at least two years of relevant experience, ideally in an educational setting is required. Written and verbal fluency in English is also required, and French language skills are an asset.
