Part-Time Educational Assistant

at T. A. Norris Middle SchoolThe school is located in the town of Peace River and serves students from grades 5-8. The school offers a high quality core academic program, consisting of English, French Immersion and French Second Language and a wide range of exploratory courses which include Art, Drama, Home Economics and Band. T.A. Norris also offers hockey and dance academies.One Part-Time (0.80 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant is required commencing immediately and continuing until June 27, 2024. The successful candidate will be providing one on one supports for student learners.

Qualifications: Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent

Experience and/or training working with students in a junior/senior high school settingSkills: Ability to work with children with varied skill levels, needs and abilities

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.

Rate of Pay:

$ 20.16 to $ 25.29 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
