EARLY LEARNING PROGRAM LEADER St. Michaels School (Pincher Creek)

We are looking to hire a continuous 31.5 hour per week Early Learning Program Leader at St. Michaels School in Pincher Creek. This assignment is to commence August 26, 2024. This position is covered by the CUPE 1825 collective agreement. Please quote posting #3697447.

Under the direction of the Early Learning Supervisor and the school principal, the Early Learning Program Leader performs tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Early Learning Program at the school. Under the supervision and direction of the professional consulting team, the Program Leader is also responsible for ensuring the program aligns with and supports Holy Spirits philosophy of developmentally appropriate, play based experienced that ignite a childs natural curiosity.

EDUCATION: Early Childhood Education Diploma or higher equivalent.WORK EXPERIENCE: A minimum two years of experience working in an Early Learning Program.TECHNICAL SKILLS: First aid certification;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Capacity to embed speech/language and early literacy skills with direction from professional staff;

Collaborate effectively with parents, community partners, principals, teachers and staff;

A high level of compassion and interpersonal skills;

Hanen Learning Language and Loving It Certification.INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Demonstrates ethical and confidential behaviour;

Promotes an atmosphere of respect for children and adults;

Demonstrates appropriate and independent use of time;

Maintains effective, appropriate and co-operative relationships with children, families and staff;
