These new routes are due to the opening of the new Iron Ridge Secondary Campus school and boundary changes in Blackfalds. Duties to commence September 3, 2024.
Must be available to attend the driver start-up meeting on August 27, 2024
Applicants must have experience driving a school bus
Valid Class 1 or 2 operators License
S Endorsement or MELT 2-S as well as a clean drivers abstract and be in good physical health
Ability to pass an in-house school bus driver evaluation
First Aid Certification is strongly recommended but can be obtained through WCPS once hired
As well, the successful candidate must be able to produce a satisfactory vulnerable sector check (Current within six months)Details: The new Blackfalds routes will be urban and rural for pickups and drop-offs. The specific route km's and information is still being determined.
Seniority, familiarity with the route/area, and proximity to the route will be considered throughout the decision-making process.
The successful applicant will be eligible for benefits.
This competition is open to both within and outside of the Wolf Creek School Division.
