PRINCIPAL VACANCY (K-7)Sacred Heart Catholic School offers a dynamic, relevant and faith based Catholic education to approximately 170 students in grades K 7. The school has a very strong sense of community and has grown steadily in student enrollment over the years.

Sacred Heart School is in Prince George BC, the vibrant hub of central British Columbia at the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako Rivers. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated leadership ability in promoting success for all learners within a safe and nurturing Catholic community. They must have experience connecting with local First Nations communities and integrating the First Peoples Principles of Learning.

QUALIFICATIONS: An active practicing Catholic who is a role model in the school, parish and community

Possession of, or working towards, a Masters degree in Education or related field

Preferred five years of successful teaching experience

Successful school administration and/or leadership experience

Demonstrated leadership in innovative practice and an understanding of the BC Curriculum

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively

Superior skills in communication and problem-solving

Demonstrated commitment to a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
