POSITION : Intermediate Teacher - temporary

ASSIGNMENT: Intermediate (Gr 4-7)

FTE: 0.2

LOCATION: Dragon Lake Elementary School

EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2024 until June 30, 2025

Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:

Training Specialization : Elementary Education with specialization at the intermediate level

Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching at the intermediate level

A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.

Other : The successful candidate must be willing to take part in UFLI instruction

Willingness to support the school plan for Student Success.

Willingness to work as part of the school-based team to implement plans for struggling students.

Commitment to working as part of a team in the development and implementation of the School Growth Plan and Aboriginal Enhancement Agreement.The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
