Educational Assistant Location: Step Up Step Down Program, Sheldon Kennedy Centre of Excellence30 hours weekly - following year round school calendarCommencing as soon as a suitable candidate is found until June 30, 2025The Step Up Step Down (SUSD) education program provides specialized, on-site schooling for youth aged 13-17 who are unable to attend community schools due to significant mental health challenges. This program offers a meaningful, inclusive, and hands-on educational experience, ensuring continuity of academic studies and enhanced mental health support in collaboration with students' primary school jurisdictions and community partners. The program also includes an intensive outpatient program, designed to offer mental health programming, treatment planning and goal development to youth and their family/caregivers, supplementing the mental health care they are already receiving.
