Working knowledge of using computing technology to support learning

Specific to this posting:

Bachelor of Education (Secondary)

BCIT Technology Education Teacher Certification or equivalent training and qualifications

Two years successful experience teaching Tech Ed at the secondary school level

Thorough knowledge of the Tech Ed curriculum

Familiarity with WHMIS, MSDS, and appropriate health and safety regulations in a shop/lab

Demonstrated successful experience implementing and maintaining safety procedures

A high level of proficiency with computers in their use for instructional support

Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of students in a positive and active learning environment

Strong classroom management and organizational skills
