Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta, serving

Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Senior High Teacher. The assignment includes Social Studies IMPACT 10-2, Design Tech 10, 20, 30, Personal Fitness 10, 20, 30, and Sports Medicine 10. Employee must be willing to work off the timetable. Candidate must be willing to work blocks 2 - 5 in both semesters.

Salisbury Composite High serves approximately 1,500 students in grades 10 to 12, with

70 teaching staff and 22 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.Salisbury Composite High, "Home of the Sabres, provides diversity in programs and

demonstrated through a positive learning environment in which the members of the school

community work together to promote the attitudes, skills and knowledge that enable

Commencing August 27, 2024 Positions that are deemed difficult to recruit will include the following: Open to internal and external applicants, priority will be given to EIPS teachers who hold a continuous contract and meet the minimum requirements of the position.

Building Construction experience is a requirement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree with specialization in Cosmetology is required

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
