Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Senior High Cosmetology and Esthetics Teacher. Candidate must be comfortable co-teaching and be able to work with very large class sizes.

Salisbury Composite High serves approximately 1,500 students in grades 10 to 12, with 70 teaching staff and 22 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Open to internal and external applicants, priority will be given to EIPS teachers who hold a continuous contract and meet the minimum requirements of the position Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree with specialization in Cosmetology is required

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
