EIPS is recruiting a full-time Career Pathways Teacher with our Supports for Students department.

Supports for Students is located at the EIPS Central Administration building in Sherwood Park, at 683 Wye Road. Providing services for the division, Central administration is comprised of eight departments, in addition to the Board of Trustees. The departments include Education Executive, Communication Services, Facility Services, Student Transportation, Human Resources, Financial Services, Supports for Students, and Information Technologies. Commencing August 27, 2024

The s uccessful applicant who is an EIPS Continuous Teacher will be able to return to their current school/position for the 2025-26 school year RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting Career Pathways by: Being an advocate for choice and opportunities for students.

Working with students and schools to promote best practices for supporting students through career and post-secondary exploration.

Support students and schools in RAP, Dual Credit, Green Certificate and Work Experience opportunities.

Participating in Career Pathways events such as post-secondary and career fairs, parent information evenings, and student engagement sessions.

Identify and support camps/field trips for students to explore various careers and educational opportunities (ex: Skills, NAIT Camps, Elevate Aviation, Careers Camps)

Providing in-class student presentations on career exploration, Off-Campus and Dual Credit opportunities, etc.

Communicating Career Pathways news and information through various channels, including social media.Supporting community partnerships by: Meeting with key stakeholders to maintain and develop off-campus relationships, including completing and managing the worksite approval process.Supporting Dual Credit and Off-Campus students by: Supporting students as they apply to, enroll in, and complete Dual Credit and Off-Campus programs.

Assessing and reporting for students in Off-Campus and Dual Credit.

This position will require travel to all areas of EIPS and scheduling flexibility.QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Education degree.

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.

Strong, independent worker, capable of managing many demands, data and information.
