Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a part-time (0.882 FTE) Junior High English Language Arts Teacher.

Clover Bar Junior High serves approximately 390 students in grades 7 to 9, with 22 teaching staff and nine support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Clover Bar Junior High staff work hard to help students become the best they can be, providing opportunities to be engaged in their learning as well as involved in a variety of extracurricular activities such as art, band, drama, construction, foods, team sports and social activities. Commencing August27, 2024

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
