Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta, serving the educational needs of approximately 17,750 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting a temporary part-time (0.882 to 1.0 FTE) Teacher at Strathcona Christian Academy Secondary. Subjects include: ELA 20-1, ELA 8, Art 10, and Reading 10.

Strathcona Christian Academy Secondary serves approximately 600 students in grades 7 to 12, with 30 teaching staff and seven support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB. Strathcona Christian Academy Secondary offers an Alternative Christian program and strives to meet the needs of individual students by enabling each student to pursue excellence, experience success and realize their potential in each course and school activity.

Alternative Christian schools within EIPS follow the regular provincial curricula interpreted from an Evangelical Christian Philosophy. Applicants should include relevant information about their Christian philosophy of education in their cover letter. A teacher in this program is expected to bring a Christian viewpoint to issues and topics from all curricular areas. Commencing October 21, 2024 to December 20, 2024

Applicant Qualifications: Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
