EIPS is recruiting a Full-time Secretary II with our Support for Students department. Elk Island Public Schools Central Services building is located in Sherwood Park, at 683 Wye Road. Providing services for the Division, Central Services is comprised of eight departments, in addition to the Board of Trustees. The departments include Education Executive, Communication Services, Facility Services, Student Transportation, Human Resources, Financial Services, Supports for Students and Information Technologies. Central Services is staffed by 190 employees.

This position provides administrative support to the Directors of Instructional Services, assisting with resource development, consultant teams, and department initiatives.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Support Instructional Services and related projects

Edit and format resources for teachers and students

Manage Elk Island Public Schools' SharePoint sites

Coordinate calendars, meeting agendas, notes, and project timelines

Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams

Organize, retain, and manage documents

Draft correspondence for internal and external stakeholders

Track and communicate project deliverables; create and follow up on action items

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education High School diploma, supplemented by related courses

Coursework in administrative support an assetExperience Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a school or office environment

A high level of understanding and experience with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint would be an assetEquivalencies will be considered.
