We are looking to hire a Full-Time Junior High generalist teacher for the 2024/25 School Year

Our Mission: Developing Academic and Spiritual Excellence While Ministering to a Lost and Hurting World

This means that we: Teach the Alberta curriculum from a Christian perspective

Teach the Bible as a subject and provide worship and Christian service opportunities

Teach a wide range of courses to encourage students to grow spiritually, academically, socially, and physically

Encourage excellence in character and social development and excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts Author Paul Kienel describes the purpose of a Christian school education as follows:

"To present to our children, as clearly as possible, the truth about God, about life and living, about our world and everything in it, and to present the Word of God as the authoritative source upon which to build a life that has purpose and meaning".

At our school Biblical truths are integrated into everything being taught. The students are taught to use the Bible to evaluate all of life, and are challenged to see the necessity of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Slave Lake Christian Academy does not exist to shelter students from the world, rather it is a place where students develop their God-given potential to enable them to make an impact for Christ in every area of their lives.
