Educational Assistant 5 (EA5) for a work assignment at Bellerose Composite High School working with the Gaining Opportunities & Life Skills (GOALS) program.

Hours of Work : 20 hrs. /week; 4 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday;

Hourly Rate: $21.44 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective
AgreementQualifications & Experience:
Working with students with highly
complex needs, personal care and heavy lifting required
Require Class 4 license to transport
students to and from community outings
Experience with providing social,
emotional, and behavioural supports is preferred
Formal Post-Secondary training is
preferred
Experience working with students
at the high school level is an asset
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
training is an asset
First Aid training is an asset
A coachable individual who has
experience in a team environment
Patience, reliability and
organizational skills
Familiarity with functional
behavior analysis and the implementation of positive reward systems
Experience in supporting the classroom teacher with
programming modifications or adaptations as needed
Experience delivering interventions and strategies as laid
out by the classroom teacher and other multi-disciplinary team members
Knowledgeable in using strategies that enhance communication
in a classroom setting, field trips and unstructured parts of the school dayApplications,
either written or electronic, must include documentation, which describes:
Highest
