St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Full Time, Probationary, Caretaker for a work assignment with Facilities at Joseph M. Demko School . More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work : 37.5 hrs./week; 7.5 hrs./day (3pm-11:00pm); Monday-Friday; Full Time, ProbationaryHourly Rate: $21.65 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:

This work involves routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks to maintain school buildings and property.

Entry level knowledge of cleaning equipment operation as well as the chemicals and cleaning products used.

Ability to lift and handle cleaning equipment and furniture.

Basic knowledge of repair procedures.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Up to 6 months experience in building cleaning.

WHMIS training would be an asset.
