Fraser Valley School is looking for a part-time French teacher to support the Middle Years Programme.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work collaboratively with others to plan and deliver programming using the PYP framework.

Design and facilitate leaning experiences and engagement that inspire, engage, motivate, and challenge learners.

Develop a caring classroom environment with positive relationships at the core.

Monitor, guide, give feedback and assess student learning using a range of tools and strategies.

Communicate effectively and regularly with colleagues, students and the families.

Supervise students at recess and/or lunch breaks.

Lead after-school clubs or teams.

Additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the Head of School and as outlined in our Staff Handbook.Qualifications: A Bachelor of Education, with a focus on Elementary Education

Hold a valid BC teaching certificate

IB PYP training is considered an asset

Experience teaching in an elementary setting, ideally in an independent IB PYP school

Passion and commitment to inquiry-based and concept driven instruction

Experience coaching and elementary sports team in considered an asset

Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada

First Aid Certificate

Strong classroom management skills
