A Teaching Chef's job duties include demonstrating the proper techniques to prepare

food, showing students how to use kitchen equipment, and teaching a variety of

recipes. You may also develop lesson plans and collaborate with other teachers.

Guildford Park Secondary School has a student population of 1400 students and growing. This dynamic school has over 70 different languages spoken at home by students. There are a variety of programs available which include a robust Culinary Program, After School Tutoring, Career and Apprenticeship programs, Here4 Peers Mental Health Literacy Program, Indigenous Education, Community School Partnership programs (CASTLE, REACH, Pathways and Check & Connect), BASES, ELL, District Carpentry program, Grade 8 Integrated SESM program(Social Studies, English, Science, Mathematics).

At Guildford Park there is a long history of in-house SEL support programs for youth. In addition to counselling staff, there are Inclusive Education Support Workers, outreach workers, youth care workers, Indigenous Graduation Advocates, Indigenous youth care workers, Inner City Secondary Workers, and peer tutors.
