Khalsa Schools of BC campuses are seeking multiple candidates for their Sikh Martial Arts (Gatka) positions to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for gatka, are able to teach gatka and have a desire to educate and inspire students through Sikh Martial Arts traditions.

We are hiring at our Khalsa School Newton Elementary, Khalsa School Old Yale Road Elementary, Khalsa School of the Fraser Valley and Khalsa Secondary School locations.

Positions available are:

-2 Gatka Teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 7

-1 Gatka Teacher from Kindergarten to Grade 8

-1 Gatka Teacher from Grade 8 - 12

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement gatka plans that align with curriculum standards

- Instruct students on gatka theory, history, and performance techniques

- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students of all ages

- Conduct individual and group gatka lessons for fari soti, chakar, and kirpan spinning

- Organize and oversee gatka performances and competitions

- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience in classroom teaching or educational settings
