Crescent Heights Academy is looking for a full-time Early Childhood Educator or Responsible Adult to manage our Out Of School Care programme at our Diamond Campus. The educator will lead and support children and staff while ensuring all safety and regulatory requirements are met. The position will involve working closely with the managers of our two other locations. This educator is responsible for upholding the philosophy and values of Crescent Heights. Responsibilities: Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and caring learning environment Working with the Childcare director regarding staffing to maintain proper ratios.

Create and maintain the monthly attendance

Maintain complete files for all students enrolled in Out of School Care and for all Staff working in Out of School Care.

At the beginning of each school year, edit the spreadsheets name to reflect the current school year and start a new binder

Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Before and After School programme

Ensure proper Cleaning and sanitation of area and materials

Maintain accurate records and document necessary information and events on a daily basis

Maintain a file containing all dates for certificates that have expiration dates for all staff members.

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students

Check email account regularly during the day for new correspondence and reply in a timely fashion.

Work with accounting team to ensure proper and clear reporting of enrollees

Work collaboratively with Crescent Heights Academy staff to design and implement engaging curriculum

Being a contributor within the Crescent Heights Academy community

Maintain open, respectful communication with parents and Crescent Heights Academy colleagues

Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications: Early Childhood Education Certificate or Responsible Adult Certificate Current first aid certification

Ability to successfully obtain Ministry of Justice criminal record check clearance

Canadian residency and be legally entitled to work in Canada

This position follows the Crescent Heights Academy calendar, with no classes in session for the summer months. Hours are 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 am, and 3:00-6:00 pm. Remuneration is slightly above the fair market value. $24.00 for the position plus the wage enhancement if the successful candidate is ECE certified.
