Competition #3431 The Chinook School Division requires a full time (1.0 FTE) replacement Student Services teacher at Swift Current Comprehensive High School beginning August 27, 2024 through June 30, 2025. SCCHS is a grade 9-12 school with 952 students and 53 teachers.The Chinook School Division is proud to serve nearly 6,000 students in 60 schools, with over 1,000 collegial and student-centered teachers and support staff. take meaningful action. Duties/Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will lead initiatives in student services at the school level and will have responsibility for the following: Advocating and planning for the integration of intensive needs students into regular classes;

Supporting classroom teachers in providing an appropriate program for intensive needs students;

Providing leadership and communication to all stakeholders in completing IIPs for students

Programming for and teaching intensive needs students in a discreet classroom setting and within the classroom;

Providing leadership in coordinating the efforts of individuals (parents, teachers, educational assistants, administrators, specialists) and agencies to most effectively support intensive needs students;

Completing assessment and evaluation of student assessment batteries at the school level;

Having a commitment to the vision, mission, principles and goals of the Chinook School Division. Desired Qualifications: Special Ed Qualifications as outlined by Saskatchewan Learning or working towards those qualifications;

Experience and training as a Student Services teacher;

Effective interpersonal and communication skills;

Values a student-centered approach;

Proven ability to lead the development and implementation of a school division plan for Student Services;

A collaborative team member at the school level as well as a person who supports the Student Service Model/team;

Comfort and ability to work with data and assessment;

An interest and ability in working with teachers, co-creating instructional plans to enhance learning.

Successful teaching experience or training;

Certified as a Teacher in good standing in Saskatchewan or the ability to be certified.
