Regular 8 months/year Position 40 hours/week

The Horizon School Division is currently seeking a Maintenance Worker who is interested in working approximately 8 months per each year.

This position reports to the Facility Manager and is responsible for maintaining curb appeal through careful upkeep of all school green strips and playing fields, additionally, this person will work with regular staff to perform seasonal preventative maintenance on various equipment.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week working four, ten-hour days. Approximately 8 months a year. This position is a regular position which will result in a yearly layoff and call back.

Wage: $19.83/hour Per CUPE Local 3203 Collective Agreement (bargaining is currently underway). Benefits will be available after a successful probationary period (90 days worked) and a successful evaluation.
