Armada Colony School is located west of the village of Lomond (from Lomond, 8 km west on highway 531, 2.3 km north on range road 210). Our 2 staff provide a service to 21 students in kindergarten to grade 8.

Assignment includes : multi grade level teaching.

The ideal candidate will: be prepared to always demonstrate respect for Hutterite culture, traditions and beliefs

be able to deliver quality instruction in a many-graded inclusive classroom

be an excellent planner, with a solid understanding of curriculum and assessment strategies

have excellent personal, communication and organizational skills

be able to deliver curriculum in a meaningful and culturally appropriate manner, without the use of technology

cultivate and maintain positive relationships with the German Teacher, parents and members of the colony

be flexible, creative, committed and able to work well independently, as well as contribute positively to our team of colony teachers

seek professional learning opportunities and engage in the ongoing growth of their professional practiceThe position commences August 19, 2024 and concludes January 31, 2025, or upon return of the incumbent, whichever occurs first.
