Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Part-time Teacher Assistant at Oscar Adolphson Primary School, Valleyview, AB.

Successful candidate responsibilities: Working with students one-on-one & in small groups in a Kindergarten classroomTeach er Assistant s Qualifications : Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)

Early Childhood training and experience (desirable)Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff

Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teacher and other educational assistants in the classroom/school

Work collaboratively with service provides such has Speech-Language Pathologist, Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist

Willingness to support students with toileting needs

Ability to support students' with varying social-emotional needs

Understand and carry out oral and written direction

Work independently with minimal instruction

Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills

Respect confidentiality

Practice professionalism with all OAP School students, staff, administration, parents and public
