High School Resource Teacher (0.5 FTE) Who We Are Vancouver Christian School is a large,diverse,K-12 school located in East Vancouver,British Columbia. VCS is dedicated to preparing students for a life of transformation and service through excellent,Christ-centred education.Join our team We are seeking one full-time Resource Teacher with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of classroom experience who can communicate effectively with staff,students,and parents. Resource teachers have significant responsibility in helping children and adolescents develop the academic,behavioral,and social skills to fully grasp curriculum. They have the ability to adapt and/or modify teaching methods to target the unique needs of students with exceptionalities,including giftedness,learning disabilities,attention challenges,and so forth). Resource teachers support Tier 1 in the MTSS model. Resource teachers will be able to assess student progress and be able to communicate that with all stakeholders. In high school,resource teachers will need to provide life skills training or career counseling to prepare for after graduation.
