Placements into these POSR positions during the school year may be considered in accordance with Article E.11.3d.Early Years Curriculum Coordinator Position Description:
The Early Years Curriculum Coordinator will help facilitate District-based Early Years initiatives (CP4YC and SEY2TK). In addition, it will coordinate and facilitate professional learning related to the Districts Early Years programs, including Ready Set Learn, StrongStart, Kindergarten-ECE Partnerships, Seamless Day and Nature Kindergarten. This position will also be responsible for contributing to the Ministry of Education and Child Care Accountability Reports and Environmental Scans as well as co-representing the District at Early Years community, island and provincial networks.Preferred Qualifications:
Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Diploma
Experience in childcare and early learning settings
Minimum three years of successful classroom experience at the primary level (grades K-3) including Kindergarten
Experience facilitating learning with adults
Experience and understanding of the BC Early Learning Framework and the Kindergarten curriculum
The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $58,635 to $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
