What Youll Bring

As an experienced Design Teacher with a valid BC teaching certificate, you will bring a demonstrated proficiency in integrating technology to enrich classroom instruction and facilitate innovative student learning experiences. Though we recognize it is unlikely any one candidate will possess all of these skills, your expertise will ideally extend from digital design skills across a variety of software platforms to artificial intelligence, filmmaking, robotics, hands-on building, textile work, 3D printing and other maker-space related skills. In addition to these competencies, you will have familiarity with design thinking, digital literacy, the design cycle and inquiry or project-based learning approaches. Comfort with learning new software and an openness to experiment and try new things is important. Experience with IB training and MYP, while advantageous, is not mandatory. Applicants with related real-world skills and experiences are welcome to apply.

This position calls for a flexible educator with a growth mindset and a passion for digital technologies, innovation, and collaborative teaching practices, contributing to a fun and engaging learning environment for students across various grade levels. You will be supported within a vibrant and collaborative Design department and will have access to many cutting-edge tools and technologies.
