NOTICE OF NON-UNION VACANCY POSITION: Human Resources Assistant

LOCATION: Catholic Education Centre

SALARY: $64,454 - $67,846Reporting to the Superintendents of Human Resources, the overall responsibilities of the position are to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department.Duties and Responsibilities: Co-ordinate and manage the day to day operations of ApplytoEducation/EasyConnect, support end users, data analysis and monitoring absences and replacements. Provide administrative support for the recruitment process, posting process, orientation, administration of contracts, correspondence, personnel data/files, processing of leaves and records maintenance

Support the implementation of and monitor the performance appraisal process

Prepare and maintain confidential correspondence and Board Reports for management staff

Provide administrative support for policy and procedures update

Provide administrative support to WSIB, Attendance & Disability Management

Prepare monthly variance reports and forecasts of Boards operating budget to actual variances including staffing, enrolment, revenues and expenses

Coordinate and administer the Violence in the Workplace Prevention Program, WHMIS and Offence Declarations and all regulatory training for all Board employee

Administrative support for negotiations, arranging required meetings and locations, research, editing collective agreements

Record minutes of staff meetings and other meetings as required

Perform other duties as assignedQualifications: Human Resources diploma or designation and\or previous work experience in an Human Resources setting

Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Google Suite

Experience with WSIB would be an asset Ability to accurately record and transcribe minutes of meetings Self-motivated, self-directed with strong initiative and the ability to work independently as well as an effective team member Strong professional and organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability and willingness to take an active role in the development and organizational components of special projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Willing to work flexible hours and able to work within deadlines
