The Position:

Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the position of Technology Education Coordinator effective September 3, 2024.

Garden Valley School Division seeks a Technology Education Coordinator with a strong understanding of Information Technology in educational settings, PowerSchool, website management and online communication. The Coordinator will work with staff and students to incorporate technology into classrooms to develop skills, increase understanding and explore applications for all learners. The Coordinator will provide professional development for teachers and lead technology facilitator meetings. They will train and support staff in the use of PowerSchool and Gradebook. Along with working with teachers and students, the Coordinator will liaise and work together with the division IT team, support our website and take care of online communication, and will support Senior Administration.

Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor of Education Degree

Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Manitoba Teaching Certificate

Preferably coursework in the field of Information and Communications Technology

Preferably experience working with PowerSchool and Gradebook The above represents general core qualifications for the position and may vary as necessary to the operations of the school/program.

Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Garden Valley School Division and the Garden Valley Teachers Association.
