Joseph H. Kerr School is a Nursery to Grade 12 school with 150 students in Snow Lake, Manitoba located between Flin Flon and Thompson, Manitoba. This scenic, lakeside town offers exceptional wilderness recreation and community services such as a grocery store, banking services, public library, health centre, community hall, paved roads and the provincial highway system. The Town of Snow Lake also is home to a hockey arena, curling rink, nine-hole golf course and a beach, which plays host to a number of activities and tournaments over the course of the year. Subsidized housing may be available.
Subjects include Social Studies, Math, Science and Indigenous Way of Life. Qualifications: Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
A sound knowledge of provincial Middle/Senior Years curricula
Previous teaching experience
Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life
Strong skills in planning, record keeping and classroom management
A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
A commitment to differentiated instruction
Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities
A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices
