Qualifications: Bachelor of Education with a preference for a Masters Degree in Education
Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
At least 5 years of teaching experience
Experience as a Resource Teacher
Confident implementing various student assessments to help create individual learning plans
Experience with differentiated instruction and special education programming
Working with Indigenous Students (asset)
Able to consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies
Clear Current Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record CheckMain Responsibilities: Assess students abilities, strengths, and weaknesses and create level appropriate instruction to improve understanding of curriculum
Work with individual students/small groups to challenge and improve their abilities
Collaborate with Teachers and Educational Assistants to support student needs
Lead a team of Educational Assistants
Preparing class activities to supplement course material and engage students
Facilitate and organize extracurricular activities
Seek appropriate professional development to share with student supportsSalary : $68,111.18 to $107,051.18 /year, depending on class and experience
