Le directeur de lExploitation est charg de diriger et de guider efficacement les activits dexploitation quotidiennes dun magasin dans son ou ses secteurs assigns. Le Centre de dploiement rapide est un tablissement complexe dont le volume lev dactivits se droule un rythme soutenu et ncessite un souci du dtail en matire de planification quotidienne, de ralisation des objectifs, de communication et de suivi des progrs. Le directeur de lExploitation collaborera avec le directeur gnral ainsi que le directeur gnral adjoint afin de dfinir et de transmettre la vision, la mission et les stratgies dexploitation du Centre de dploiement rapide, et ce, dans le but dassurer la ralisation des objectifs cls en matire de rendement. Il doit tablir une culture de travail de haut rendement qui permet damliorer constamment les rsultats de lentreprise et doffrir un service la clientle exceptionnel tout en favorisant un milieu de travail scuritaire. Il joue un rle primordial dans ltablissement dun modle damlioration continue en analysant les tendances du march et en encourageant ses quipes se poser des questions exploratoires afin de participer activement lidentification et la mise en uvre doccasions damlioration en matire de clientle, de service et de cot.
Responsabilits lies au poste :
- Diriger et encadrer une quipe, avec pour objectif latteinte des mesures de rendement cls, ainsi que des buts fixs pour le Centre de dploiement rapide.
- tablir des plans de travail quotidiennement et hebdomadairement et attribuer les tches lies aux postes de manire juste et constante.
- Fixer des objectifs quotidiens, tablir un suivi des progrs et apporter des modifications quand celles-ci savrent ncessaires.
- Offrir aux associs un encadrement et une formation continus et mettre en uvre des mesures correctives conformment aux politiques et la mthode dexploitation normalise (MEN) de lentreprise.
- Sassurer que les associs disposent des outils et du matriel ncessaires pour mener leurs fonctions avec succs.
- Assurer un suivi continu auprs de tous les associs du CD en utilisant le processus dvaluation formelle et en communiquant directement et quotidiennement avec eux.
- Apporter son aide au directeur gnral adjoint en matire dobjectifs lis aux finances, lexploitation, aux ressources humaines et aux services du centre de distribution en vue dapporter des amliorations et daccrotre le rendement de faon continue, ce qui permettra de rduire le cot gnral des services.
- Rsoudre les problmes se rapportant aux clients dans un dlai raisonnable.
- Encadrer, former et perfectionner les associs de faon informelle et dans le cadre de programmes de formation, leur fournir une rtroaction portant sur leur rendement au travail, rtroaction autant informelle (p. ex. : encadrement dans laire de vente) que formelle (p. ex. : valuation crite).
- Maintenir un environnement de travail agrable en crant un milieu de travail centr sur les employs qui fait preuve dintrt envers lensemble des associs.
- tablir une culture de scurit au travail dans lensemble de lentreprise en respectant les politiques et procdures en matire de scurit de Home Depot.
- Superviser et rappeler tous les associs les pratiques lies la scurit et la prvention des pertes.
- Diriger et administrer les secteurs fonctionnels ainsi que les quarts de travail qui lui ont t assigns.
- Effectuer occasionnellement des dplacements.
Exprience et connaissances requises :
- Rpondre aux exigences minimales en ce qui a trait lanciennet (un an) et avoir obtenu le code de rendement M+.
- Dtenir un baccalaurat ou un diplme collgial en gestion de lexploitation, en administration ou en gestion de la chane dapprovisionnement, de prfrence.
- Possder un minimum de trois ans dexprience en gestion des activits de distribution.
- Avoir une accrditation titre de professionnel de la logistique (PLog) ou de lInstitut canadien du trafic et du transport (ICTT) constitue un atout.
- Possder une exprience en gestion dun centre de distribution mcanis ou automatis dot de nombreux processus de prlvement-emballage constitue un rel atout.
- Avoir de lexprience avec le systme ERP de SAP ou Manhattan WMS constitue un prcieux atout.
- Possder une exprience antrieure en gestion dune ou plusieurs nouvelles entreprises en dmarrage (prcieux atout).
- Matriser Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint et avoir une connaissance pratique dAccess et de Project Management.
- tre en mesure de travailler selon des heures et des quarts de travail variables, y compris les fins de semaine et les jours fris.
- tre en mesure deffectuer des dplacements de plus de 24 heures de 5 % 10 % du temps. Il faut savoir qu des fins de formation, il y aura de nombreux dplacements aux tats-Unis au cours de la premire anne de lentre en fonction.

Position Purpose:
The Operations Manager is responsible for providing effective leadership and direction for all day-to-operations within their area(s) of responsibility. The MDO is a fast pace, high volume, complex operation requiring attention to detail in the areas of daily planning, goal setting, communication, and monitoring progress. The Operations Manager will partner with the GM & AGMs to develop and cascade the MDO s vision, mission, and operational strategies to ensure the achievement of all key performance objectives. The OM is responsible for building a high performance work culture that consistently drives results, delivers exceptional customer service, while promoting a safe working environment. The OM will play a key role in building a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing trends and actively engaging their teams by asking probing questions to identify and implement improvement opportunities in the areas of people, service, and cost.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads and manages the team to achieve the key performance measures and objectives for the site.
- Develops the daily/ weekly work plan and assigns job tasks in a fair and consistent manner.
- Sets daily goals, monitors progress and makes required adjustments on the fly.
- Provides ongoing coaching and training to associates and administers corrective action as per the company policies & standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensures Associates have the required tools and equipment necessary to perform their jobs successfully.
- Provides constant feedback to DC associates through the formal review process as well as directs daily communication.
- Assists AGM with DC's financial, operational, people and service objectives to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains to reduce overall cost-to-serve.
- Responds to and resolves customer issues in a timely manner
- Coaches, trains, and develops Associates informally and through formal training programs, providing both informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance based feedback.
- Maintains a great place to work environment by creating an employee-centered work place that demonstrates care and concern for all Associates.
- Ensures a culture of safety throughout the organization by following Home Depot safety policies and procedures.

Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements M+.
- Bachelors degree or college diploma in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Minimum 3 years management experience in a distribution operation.
- PLog or CITT designation would be an asset.
- Experience managing within a mechanized/ automated distribution center with multiple pick-pack processes is a definite asset.
- Experience with SAP ERP or Manhattan WMS a definite asset.
- Previous experience with managing one or more new start-up operations an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and working knowledge of Access and Project Management.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and hours including weekends and holidays.
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 10% of the time however there will be extensive travel to the United States during the first year of employment (for training purposes).
