On March 21 and 22, Nspire hosted its annual national conference, NBTC '14, in Toronto for its fourteenth year. Organizers are expecting nearly 400 delegates, over 30 speakers, and over 100 professionals to speak with and inspire young professionals in technology and business.
"Nspire as an organization is the umbrella organization for NBTC," says Layan Kutab, president of Nspire. "It's a not-for-profit dedicated to building the next generation of entrepreneurs in the business and technology space."
Each year, they bring together hundreds of excited students to workshop, learn, and network. "The goal of NBTC is to, first of all, connect. Students with students, and delegates and sponsors," says Kutab. "Second of all, it's about taking our students on a journey. The theme of this year's conference is 'Where Ideas Take Flight.'" Essentially, NBTC '14 will be taking the ideas of students and putting them into action, developing creativity and entrepreneurship in this field.
"It's such a valuable experience," says Kutab. "Speaking from the perspective of a delegate, I attended NBTC twice and every time I went it was such a motivational and inspirational conference. There was a part of me that wanted to do something big."
